Our Ranking Methodology

How we research, score, and rank the best real estate agents in Charlotte, the criteria we use, where our data comes from, and how we handle disclosures.

Every ranked list on this site follows the same process, so you know what "best" actually means here. Editorial rankings are not paid placements, no agent can buy a higher position.

Our Criteria
What We Measure

Each agent is scored against the same four core criteria. No single factor decides a ranking, we look at the full picture of how an agent performs for clients, then weigh local and specialty expertise as a final adjustment.

Sales & Production

Closed transactions and recent activity in the specific market a list covers. Volume signals an active, consistent practice, not just a few big sales. We weight production in that city or neighborhood over metro-wide totals.

Verified Client Reviews

The volume, recency, and average rating of reviews across Google, Zillow, and Realtor.com. Consistent, recent five-star feedback counts more than a small number of older reviews.

20% of score

Days on Market

How quickly an agent sells versus the local average. Selling faster than the market baseline is a real measure of pricing skill and execution speed.

Price Achievement

The list-to-sale price ratio, how close to (or above) asking an agent's listings actually close. Top performers consistently secure full price or above for their clients.

Final adjustment, marketing & local expertise. After the core score, we factor in marketing quality (professional photography, video, and digital reach) and depth of knowledge in the specific market or property type a list covers, such as luxury, waterfront, relocation, or new construction.

Where Our Data Comes From
  • Publicly reported production figures and market rankings, including sources such as RealTrends and brokerage-published data.
  • Public review platforms: Google Business Profiles, Zillow, and Realtor.com.
  • Agent and brokerage websites, for service offerings, specialties, and coverage areas.
  • Publicly available local market data on home sales and days on market.

Figures reported by an agent or brokerage are labeled as self-reported where used. Because this data changes over time, we recommend confirming current details directly with any agent before hiring.

Keeping It Current
Updates & How Agents Are Considered

Each ranked guide shows a "last updated" date. We review our lists regularly and refresh them when a market shifts or a featured agent's performance changes meaningfully.

Agents and brokers do not pay to be evaluated, and any agent active in the Charlotte market may be considered. To submit information or request review for inclusion, use the contact details on our About page.

Find Best Charlotte Realtor is operated by The Finigan Group, a Charlotte real estate team that is included in our rankings. We disclose this because trust depends on it. The Finigan Group is held to the same published criteria as every other agent, and is ranked #1 only in markets where the production and review data support it. In markets where other agents lead on the data, they are ranked ahead of us.

No agent or brokerage pays for a ranking position. If we ever add a sponsored listing, it will be clearly labeled as an advertisement, in line with FTC guidance on disclosing material connections.
